This policy explains how Kyntra Labs ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on kyntralabs.co, what they do and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more generally.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let the site recognise your browser, remember your choices and, if you allow it, understand how the site is used. Some are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies); others stay on your device for a set period (persistent cookies). Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in much the same way and are covered by this policy as well.

Who sets them

This website is built and hosted on Squarespace (Squarespace, Inc.). Most cookies on this site are set by Squarespace to make the site work and, with your consent, to measure how it is used. The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, provided by Google LLC, which may set its own cookies. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we have not connected any third-party analytics or advertising tools to this site.

Essential cookies (always active)

These are needed for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They do not require your consent.

  • crumb - protects forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). Expires at the end of your session.
  • Test - checks whether your browser accepts cookies. Session.
  • RecentRedirect - prevents redirect loops if a page has been moved. 30 minutes.
  • ss_performancecookiesAllowed - remembers whether you accepted analytics cookies. 30 days.
  • ss_marketingcookiesAllowed - remembers whether you accepted marketing cookies. 30 days.
  • _dd_s, _dd_cookie_test, _dd_site_test - monitor browser errors and test cookie support so the site can be kept working. Up to 4 hours.
  • _GRECAPTCHA (Google) - distinguishes people from automated bots when the contact form is submitted. 6 months.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

These help us see which pages are visited and how the site is used, so we can improve it. They are set only if you choose "Accept all" or turn on analytics under "Manage cookies".

  • ss_cid - identifies unique visitors for Squarespace Analytics. 2 years.
  • ss_cvr - identifies unique visitors for Squarespace Analytics. 2 years.
  • ss_cpvisit - records whether you have visited the site before. 2 years.
  • ss_cvisit - tracks your current browsing session. 30 minutes.
  • ss_cvt - tracks your current browsing session. 30 minutes.

Marketing cookies

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

Your choices

When you first visit the site, a banner lets you choose "Accept all", "Decline all" or "Manage cookies" to pick categories. Essential cookies are set regardless of your choice, because the site cannot work without them. Non-essential cookies are placed only after you agree.

You can change your mind at any time:

  • On this site - your choice is stored for 30 days, after which the banner appears again. You can change it at any time by clicking "Cookie Preferences" at the bottom of any page.
  • In your browser - every browser lets you view, block or delete cookies in its settings, usually under Privacy or Security. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, such as the contact form, from working.

Legal basis

Essential cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and under the Romanian rules on electronic communications (Law no. 506/2004), which allow storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested. Analytics cookies are used only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time as described above.
